You've got a point, but I think there's actually room for both - the
XSF still has access the the "Jabber" brand, and it's pretty well
known. With Cisco apparently downplaying the marque, there's a lot to
be said for running with it as an end-user branding, using XMPP for
the more hardcore technologist end of our audience.
I think this might help distinguish between the professional
standards development side of the XSF's activities and the end-user
outreach.
