Agreed that obviously we should have some rough consensus on this
before taking action.

Indeed, I don't see how anyone can really be added without restarting voting.

I wouldn't say it's "who you know". Alex is a <message/> or RCPT TO
away from anyone.

This motivates me in favour - it's not like we're currently
overwhelmed with candidates, and it seems to me silly to reject
willing candidates for bureaucratic reasons, if the cost of accepting
them is low enough.
