Can someone brief non-experienced ones here w.r.t what exact efforts are 
required for successfully mentoring a GSoC project? I would like to volunteer 
for any kind of role I can play in successfully representing XSF at GSoC.

I would love to hear about exact responsibilities before I commit myself to it.
Proposing a project and then what? I read Mike's response which says 
"being active in GSoC is a multi-month commitment". 

Can someone throw more light on this?
