[Members] 2013 Board and Council Elections - questions for candidates

I am a candidate for Board, of course, but I have a question for the
members. Sorry for getting this all the wrong way around.

What do you expect the Board to do this year?

I'm afraid it's a pretty open question, so let me give some examples. In
the xsf at muc.xmpp.org chatroom earlier, Lance mentioned that he'd like to
see the Board put more effort and resources behind marketing XMPP, and I
can certainly agree with that. The Board could also organize bigger and
better summits, or XMPP meet-ups, perhaps.

It can also raise more sponsorship, finance development of test suites,
maybe even provide developers with bounties for implementing new XEPs. It
can provide oversight for the XSFs activities, ensuring the right processes
exist and are followed.

I'm not saying any of these are the right thing for the Board to be doing
(some are even the wrong thing, I think), but I think right now that the
Board doesn't have much of a concrete remit, and that's a shame because not
only is it a waste of some serious talent, but also it means it's very hard
to know who to vote for. We have candidates who can provide marketing
talent, organizational drive, public speaking skills, oversight, and lots
more. But which of those you want on the Board really depends on what you
want the Board to be doing.

So...What do you expect the Board to do this year?
