Here's how I would look at it from an XSF perspective.  What is 
talking to the browser vendors about XMPP and WebRTC?  In my opinion 
there is room for collaboration with people from outside the 
XSF.  There is also some marketing to be done (re. your message).  I 
doubt that a marketing plan from the top would work that well.  I see 
it more as taking the input from you and other members who have 
commented and see what practical measures can be put in place.
