You might convince this board member into having a more generally available
bursary scheme to pay for day passes. That is, I'm willing to push for
day-pass money for non-members on a per-case basis. Similarly, I'm willing
to push for finding travel and hotel - again, very much a per-case basis.

I note that day has, amongst others:

0900: rtcweb or oauth.
1300: geopriv or precis
1410: xmpp or bust
1600: tls or an early start at the pub

All those sound good and relevant. (I note that rtweb is split across two
sessions, though).
