Sorry just thought of some better text, what about the following:

While width and height can be used as a hint of details of the file such as 
file size, it cannot be relyed on for that and some other method needs to be 
used to ensure a file is not too big if that is important to the client, 
width and height can only reliably be used to know how big the other party 
wants the image to be displayed.
