Do you mean XEP-0030 discovery, or something else?

We've had many discussions about that over the years. Two primary
results were XEP-0198 (improves connectivity / reconnection) and
XEP-0237 (slims down the login process). If you have feedback about
mobile use when those are enabled, then we would love to hear about
it, because when we developed XEP-0198 and XEP-0237, we decided that
we'd implement and deploy those, then figure out what gaps remained
where further improvement could happen. If you haven't implemented and
deployed those specs, then please do so. ;-)
