That seems to authorize subscription requests. Schimon asks about authorizing items, right? I'ld surprised, if such a mechanism does not exist. It's necessary for any public comment system.

Note that I'm talking about accessing items here. If you want to moderate the publishing, you'll do that with affiliations ( https://xmpp.org/extensions/ xep-0060.html#affiliations ). If it's a different use case, please describe it precisely. Best, Goffi
