You can configure Exodus to show all incoming messages as chats regardless
of their actual type.

JabberApplet only has minor bugs and there's no need to implement
additional features so there's no development anymore.

You can set the type in JabberApplet.msgSend .

...shouldn't be that difficult? Actually, this is explained on the
JabberApplet's website.

For a Java application? Use your favorite Java IDE and that's about it
