[Juser] State of Jabber gateways

None of the gateways are under heavy development. The AIM gateway and ICQ
gateway are the best-maintained right now. Because Yahoo is actively
working to block access from all but authorized Yahoo software, it is
unlikely that anything our developers do will make that the Yahoo gateway
work in the long term. In addition, the MSN gateway, while not actively
maintained, does provide interoperability between Jabber and MSN (although
it has some memory leaks). Also there is a developer working on a new
gateway to IRC (it's still pre-beta, though).

Hope that helps,

Peter
