[Juser] interfaceable jabber client

Dear All.

I need to 2-way communication between applications.
1st part of the application will be in a mobile unit .. while the other in
our NOC.

I'm thinking of jabber as the communication agent.

Is there any jabber client that can act as STDOUT and STDIN for BASH ?

maybe something like :
--> echo [dest_user] [msg] >/dev/jab_cli

or some other easy way ?
