[Operators] STUN server

Hello everybody,
just some weeks before I started STUN server on our jabber service.
Does anybody of you know if SRV DNS records are unavoidable to have it 
functional and if anybody of you have experience with video chats using 
gajim or any other Jabber client.
I have issues to get it working and not sure what the issue is. I wasn't 
able to find any deeper description of Jingle and STUN and how-to 
run/use them.
