Sorry If I have been confrontational.
I did misread your sentence,
Just as hypothetical example, leaving alone internet SMS services which
grant receptions.
Given the louse normatives regarding rechargeable SIM cards in most
countries it could be even less expensive then getting domains and vps
for a spammer to do unsollecited registrations with sms services rather
then mail...
Which is why if you want something to be secure you need multiple layers
of protection,
For instance Google puts together Mail + SMS + other stuff (and it's far
from being foolproof itself).
You may not agree legitimally, but still saying SMS verification alone
is better then E-Mail verification is misleading at best. The fact it
works for you it doesn't mean it's an optimal choice and should put
other methods apart.
