Movim 0.29 (code named “Rankin”) is the first XMPP client that implements “Stories” ([XEP-0501](https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0501.html) (Pubsub Stories)), a very nice way to share content with your contacts and allow them to react easily by chat. It also introduces “Briefs”, a simpler way to create a short publication that only consists of a text and some medias on your profile or in your Communities. Version [0.29.1](https://mov.im/community/pubsub.movim.eu/Movim/movim-0-29-1-is-out-time-to-upgrade-XMpha9) comes with a more polished and improved “Stories” feature, database fixes as well as some preparatory work for the PHP 8.4 version. Developers and other standards experts from around the world collaborate on these extensions, developing new specifications for emerging practices, and refining existing ways of doing things. Proposed by anybody, the particularly successful ones end up as Final or Active - depending on their type - while others are carefully archived as Deferred.
