[Foundation] jabber.com for president

Hey all,

Being an old Union man, I can understand everyone's concerns.
As long as we have a voting body, then I think we'll be ok. As it was
previously stated, any member can put forth a motion to the floor to have j.c
restricted to a minority position on the Council, and it may end up coming to
that eventually, although I hope it does not. So, lets hold on to that for
now and see how things go. If it gets out of hand and it appears to us, the
members, that there is an unballance of power then we should exercise our
right to change it.

This is not us trying to battle an evil corporation, this is us trying to
make sure that Jabber continues to develope and the spirit of the OS and
Jabber itself stays intact. IMO, jc is hardly an evil corporation, but
anything is possible I guess. Anyway...the long and short of this is that
we're not going to gain any ground at all if we split up and half of us go to
one extreme and the other half take the other...All that succeeds in doing is
dividing our talents, resources and skills and that just puts AIM that much
further ahead again.

	<shrug> That's just my $0.02 worth...take it or leave it :)
