New Home for vCard-XML

The following was posted by stpeter at jabber.org via the Jabber DevZone
web site (http://dev.jabber.org/):

For the past few years, the Jabber.org project has been working with a
temporary vCard XML format. Unfortunately the proposed standard died a
horrible death within the IETF, which has left our poor temporary
standard in a state of limbo -- until now! Several Jabber.org
developers (most notably Gabber phenom Julian Missig and our very own
prodigal son Eliot Landrum) have created vCard-XML.org in order to
give the DTD a more upscale address as well as to garner attention
from the world outside the Jabber community. Hopefully the work of
creating a permanent vCard XML standard can be pursued under the
auspices of the Jabber Foundation once it has gotten down to business.
If you're interested in helping out, contact Julian or Eliot via
