please include me on the Business JIG list.

I don't think taking the issue off the general membership
list is a good thing. From what I've seen, most people are
not supportive of j.c having any control of the TM but be
granted a license to use those brands that you currently

Since you are making the document, I can only assume it will
still contain a lot of control over the TM by Jabber.com.
And since you have unilaterally made the decision to take
the issue off the list to a temporary JIG and what looks
like control of the membership of the JIG (since we have to
ask you to be on it), it could be construed by those who may
not know you that you are trying to better your (and
Jabber.com's) position on the TM issue. (pardon my long
run-on sentence)

I can't wait to see the next round of negotiations :-)

At the tail-end of the conference I made the following
decision. I'm going
to put together a detailed description of how the mark can
be used. This
document will essentially describe the licensing from j.c.
to j.o. for tm
usage for now. We're going to discuss this document in a
temporary "Jabber
Interest Group" called the Business JIG. If you're
interested in getting
involved in this list, send me email separately. We're
going to try to take
this out of the general Members discussion right now because
that needs to
focus on getting the Foundation setup and functioning.
We'll parallel the
tm transfer issue for now. We want to get something going
now and resolve
the individual concerns immediately. So, let me know if you
