I have been away on vacation and tried to vote this morning to no avail.

What can or should I be doing from this end

I'd like to thank the 34 JSF members who have voted so far on the new
applicants (you know who you are). Since we have 133 members and about
67 of those have accepted the subscription requests I sent from the
voting bot's account at memberbot at jabber.org, this means that 50% of JSF
members are eligible to vote ("registered" with memberbot) and 50% of
the eligible voters have voted. In other words 25% of the JSF membership
has voted so far.

I'd definitely like to see those numbers go up but we can't force anyone
to vote. (Remember that the bylaws stipulate that if you miss three
consecutive votes, you are considered to have resigned your membership.)
I will re-send subscription requests to the JIDs I have on file for all
JSF members who have not already approved a subscription from memberbot,
so that you have one last chance. Since 7+ days of voting seems
sufficient, I would recommend that the voting period end on the date of
our next online conference, which is next Wednesday, 2002-03-13. If you
have not voted by the end of the day on the 13th, we'll consider that
you have skipped this voting round.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Peter
