R: [Foundation] Membership and Trade Mark

Up to now I had not thought about the TM as a big issue. I may have taken
for granted that Jabber was an Open Source project and as such, there could
be no TM problems related.

Given the current conversation, I may have been wrong, but I really hope I
am not :-)

As Tipic, we are investing heavily on the technology; a native Jabber Server
for Win32 is now available and it works fine; we think we have pushed the
envelop further and helped broaden the Jabber user base. We also have taken
a lot (thanks to Jeremie, the Open Source Developers and Jabber.com).

Jabber must gain momentum, it is still small and should grow fast attracting
as many developers and companies possible, to make it a successful and
lasting technology.

I really hope that a definitive position is taken by the Board Memebers;
this will clear the way for further development of Jabber and the great
technology that has that name; the issue has been raised and it is under the
radar screen, please solve it ASAP.
