Howdy, everyone. My name is Evan Prodromou, and I've been a
professional software developer for over 15 years (currently on
hiatus, writing my first novel and hacking on free software).

My current work with Jabber is as maintainer of the JabberX client and
iksemel C library, as well as the author of JOAP (JEP-0075). I'm
currently working on libraries for developing JOAP applications in
Perl and Python, and trying to bring JabberX up to snuff as a
"certifiable" Jabber client.

My main interest in contributing to Jabber is to emphasize and
encourage using XMPP as an N-tier application development platform
(using JOAP, of course :-). I've been contacted by editors associated
with the Perl Journal and Linux Journal to write articles about
developing multi-tier object apps with JOAP, so hopefully that will
help.

I'm looking forward to participating in the JSF.
