I'll just respond this one mail out of the whole thread. I think my
fellow council members expressed my opinion quite well and add the
following:
We /are/ already communicating with the Google people. That's Peter's
job as Executive Director of the JSF as outlined in our bylaws, and he
has a pretty good track record at that. I believe talking on this level
is (already) much more effective and productive than writing some open
letter that automatically creates a distance.
