I would rather see a catchy name put forth by the JSF and then
trademarked. Something along the lines of "CollabAddress", "X-Mail
Address", or "sIm address", "IMAdress" (pronounces "I'm Address").
I look at protocols such as 1394, and had Apple not come up with
FireWire, I don't think it would have seen the adoption it id.
"Jabber ID" while a decent name, doesn't really sound.... catchy.
