We are aware of that. I have been told that someone had some problem on
one site with s2s. This is something we have not seen ourselves and we
did not get any bug report on this problem.
However, there is no reason why ejabberd might not be as performant with
s2s as it is now with s2s.
If you want to consider migrating jabber.org to ejabberd we can commit
to fix potential s2s problems. We will investigate those potential
problems and run some tests before the migration.
