How About CrossTalk? That's got a nice catchy ring to it, and really
says what we're looking to do.

There's a nice brandable set of logo's that come to mind, and a whole
bunch of catchy phrases..

Subject: [Members] Open Talk / Open Chat

A while back we had a long, inconclusive thread about Jabber vs. XMPP
vs. something else:

http://mail.jabber.org/pipermail/members/2006-November/004118.html

But we never agreed on what that "something else" should be. Sean
suggested something with "talk" in it, naturally enough. :-) We've got
Google Talk. We've got Live Journal Talk. Etc. Unfortunately, Yahoo has
"Open Talk":

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger75/whatsnew/othercom
ms-23.html

However, the term is not trademarked:

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=u50t5a.2.1

It seems like a nice name so I've just registered open-talk.org. I
registered open-chat.org too, just for good measure. Shall we do
something with these?

Peter
