I think limits are the wrong approach here, but there is some
theoretical concern.  How about we just require that people disclose
their relationships to the other candidates?  For example:

1) you must disclose if you work with another candidate
2) you must disclose if you participate in a project with a candidate

This means that Kevin and Remko would have disclosed they work on
Swift together, and the Isode guys would disclose they have a working
relationship with each other.

This at least makes all the information available and obvious, and
then the membership can exercise their rights to elect whoever they
choose.
