Hi,

small update.

Queried by hand:
jehan at marmot-balladeuse:~$ telnet xmpp.gxmpp.oscar.aol.com 5269
<?xml version='1.0'?>
<stream:stream
from='zemarmot.net'
to='aol.com'
version='1.0'
xml:lang='en'
xmlns='jabber:server'
xmlns:stream='http://etherx.jabber.org/streams'>
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <stream:stream
xmlns:stream='http://etherx.jabber.org/streams' xmlns='jabber:server'
from='aol.com' id='1af465d'
version='1.0'><stream:error><undefined-condition
xmlns='urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-streams'/></stream:error></stream:stream>

Maybe it did not like me not setting encoding? Or adding some newlines?
I wrote the opening tag by memory, but I don't think it is fundamentaly
wrong.
So it seems clearly that's a buggy server. Which means the fact they
fail against most server our there, except gmail does not mean it was
meant to do so on purpose.
Anyway I'll try slightly more extensive tests later. Now I must really
go.
See you all!

Jehan

P.S.: note also, I have hard time to make more tests after this one
test because the AOL stream does not want to close the opened connection
(even after having sent a stream error!) and seems to refuse any new
attempts as long as my first telnet won't end (and no ending tag,
ctrl-C, ctrl-D make it)! Really how did they implement this server?!
