Because I'd really like to get rid of PHP on our machines, I've been
thinking about how to do away with wiki.xmpp.org. Currently it is used
for a few things:

1. membership applications
2. coordination related to XMPP summit meetings
3. content about aspects of XMPP technologies

I think that (2) and (3) could be moved to http://xmpp.org/ fairly
easily. That leaves the membership applications, which I think could be
handled by asking applicants to send an email message to either
members at xmpp.org or a special list that we set up. (This would require a
bit more work by the list admins, but it wouldn't be that bad.)

If you have concerns about this plan of action, speak up now.
