It's so long ago I can barely remember it. There used to be a server
feature page on jabber.org that assigned servers a score based on how
many features they each implemented, and it had ludicrous features
like handing out points for how many SQL dialects the server could
speak for using as a data store (I think this was one of the ones I
thought was daft at the time, many moons ago). So it became a
marketing tool with people having silly features added so they could
say their server supported them and raising the score.

I realise we're not talking about having a score here, but I still
worry about how useful such a thing would be. A server vendor claiming
they support something, and it being in a state it can be usefully
deployed, can be quite different.
