Yes, the XSF can outsource some things sensibly, in order to put the
limited volunteer time we have in sensible places.

It's just not clear that the primary repository for the XEPs is suitable
for outsourcing.

For that matter, I'm not sure I want us to rely on a free service for
something so mission critical.

Oh, sure. Mirror to that, by all means.

Anyone can pull the git repository and mirror it that way, right now.

Which is why I don't understand why we need to move anything.
