Subject: [Members] XEP Publishing now supports images in PDFs

Hi Members,

I’ve finally gotten around, with the help of Edwin and Matthew in the XSF chatroom, to implement integration of images, mostly embedded in XML via the data URI scheme [0], in our PDF generation process for XEPs. The recent Internet of Things XEPs use images for things like sequence diagrams for example, see XEP-0324 [1].

So if you think an existing or new XEP could make use of a graphic presentation, you don’t have to fall back to ASCII art anymore but instead can just integrate your PNG/JPEG image directly.

Cheers,
Tobi
