I think that's a great idea. I do think that the example should 
minimally include replay protection, since we have that already. This 
would be a very valuable document to have around since there's going to 
be a lot of people (including me) that will be unfamiliar with SASL.

That said, I am withdrawing my request for <edigest>. I still think it 
would be a good addition, but after a _lot_ of thought on it, it seems 
a little late for that (yes, I know that's what everyone was saying).  
Kudos to those of you who stuck to your guns -- you were right. I'm 
convinced and ready to push for SASL wherever possible.
