I'm not sure why.  Search for users, search for rooms, what does it 
matter?  The exact same protocol works for both.

It did used to have this, but, since no one had ever really 
successfully implemented both sides, and it broke with the XMPP 1 iq/ 1 
response restriction, it got dropped.
