AFAIK the only restriction in IQ related is you can only have sub-element. If your multi-operations do not lead to more than one sub element, then you're good to go. We do this in MUC for mass affiliation changes and such.

This is really interesting - somehow I always was under the impression 
that a iq stanza can contain only a single query.
Maybe I assumed this since otherwise there would not be an easy way to 
correlate partial failure of an iq.
