Speaking of presence packet sizes, this is what I get each time when
 someone using Miranda changes their presence status:

  <presence from="xxx at example.com/Miranda" to="elmex at jabber.org/Net::XどなPP2" xml:lang="en">
    <priority>0</priority>
    <x xmlns="jabber:x:avatar">
      <hash>ae2d916677bc95c9d8efb6aed5c2209d83e054e4</hash>
    </x>
    <x xmlns="vcard-temp:x:update">
      <photo>ae2d916677bc95c9d8efb6aed5c2209d83e054e4</photo>
    </x>
    <show>away</show>
    <status>Gone since 11:01, will be back later.</status>
  </presence>

Quite noisy. Would propably be another good application for a PEP spec
(but I guess there is already one).
