[Standards] 2021/22 could be YOUR Council Term

Hi everyone,

It is elections [1] season again in the XMPP Standards Foundation! Is there a
XEP you really want to see advanced, but which has always been ignored? Is
there a protocol solution you want to be pushed forward, but the Council has
been reluctant to work on that topic? NOW is YOUR chance!

Run for Council by creating an application on the wiki page [1]. If you do not
have a wiki account, you can hop into xsf at muc.xmpp.org and ping Alex about
creating one for you.

The XMPP Council consists of five elected members of the XMPP Standards
Foundation. That means you need to be XSF member to run for council; if you
are not an XSF member yet, well, don't fear, the new round of membership
applications is due in January, so you can apply then and join Council next
year. If you already are, well, what's holding you back? :)

kind regards,
