I tend to agree. Witness much of the work happening with the Internet
of Things, notifications/pubsub, etc.

Good question. I was thinking it would be interesting for folks at
FOSDEM to see a bit of the brainstorming that can happen in our
community. Not so much marketing XMPP as the middleware solution for
the ages, but exploring how it's used now and when it is (and isn't)
appropriate.

But your thoughts are welcome. :)
