Hello,
another year went by and we have to get prepared to elect the 2024-2025
XSF Board and Council soon.
When you are interested in running for Board (business stuff) or Council
(technical stuff) for the upcoming term, please create an appropriate
Wiki page by November 3rd, 2024, 00:00 UTC and link it from here:
https://wiki.xmpp.org/web/Board_and_Council_Elections_2024
When you need to learn more about those roles, feel free to ask
questions on the list, our XSF chatroom, or contact people directly
which have been in those roles before.
Proxy voting is scheduled to start on November 4th, and we will hold our
annual meeting to elect the next XSF Board and Council on November 21st.
The meeting particulars are:

As noted in the recent Board meeting, because of family obligations I
will not be able to serve on the Board in the next term, although I will
still be able to serve as Treasurer.
I hope other folks will step up! Serving on the Board or the Council is
not a huge burden and personally I've always found it to be very rewarding.

thanks for the call and I also want to encourage everyone to apply and join one of our
institutional organs for the coming year.
For myself, I am planning to reapply. However, with my application comes absence from end
of November to beginning of January.

I think I can speak for everyone that an application for e.g. the XSF
Board is a great step and we can just encourage you to do so if you feel
motivated.
