Does the XSF really think it can run its own server with a higher up time and more securely than GitHub? These guys donut for a living, it's their core business, which is exactly why so many people use them.
I don't think this conversation is anything to do with down time, it's just a preference that I see with clients every day, on premise or outsourced.
